I bought several chargers previously, none of which satisfied me. It was not because they did not work. Each one of them worked as intended, but every one of them had something I can complain about. I was quite frustrated because of this.My luck started to change, however, after I ventured to purchase a battery from this company, knowing that I was taking a risk given the fact that the batteries were produced in China and few of us know the company that well. But the price was unbeatable! As I figured, if I could use the battery for half of the time, I already made the money back. Surprisingly, the battery turned out to be fine. Then, I searched for a good charger. At that time, I wanted to have a 40A charger, but this company did not have one. So, I bought one from another company, which turned out to be a hassle. The wire was not even fully covered, and the charger got very hot.Recently, I saw this new product from this company. Knowing that its battery is fine, I am willing to give it another try. What a real pleasant surprise is that the charger is great! It is very well designed, with a safety function and led indicator. I like the fact that the company paid attention to the details, such as using the Anderson plug connectors. That makes the charging a lot easier and much safer because, in the past, the real concern for the charger with alligator clips is the accidental touching of the two poles. I did that a few times, and it was not pleasant. This time, I am so glad that this company, Ampere Time, has done something right. By the way, I am not someone who always gives positive reviews to products from Amazon (you may check on that for yourself), but I won’t hesitate to sing praises if I see something that I like. This is surely one of them. Not actually sure which, I don't want to cut the cable and find out.But it has been pumping in 41A for two hours and the cable from the charger to the battery is quite warm.BMS on battery indicates 41.35A @ 13.55V, charger is indicating 14.1V. This is a voltage drop of .55V in the cable/connector, and a calculated power dissipation of 22.7425W in the cable. That is a significant amount of heat in the cabling.Easy to use, and the charger itself seems to have guts, but the cable is either killing it or protecting it not sure which!Purchased this to charge 200 Ah LifePo battery. Thought it would be best to purchase from Ampere since battery is Ampere. Showed full charge (13.2V) as soon as it was plugged in although I had used battery several hours during the day. Did not cycle through the LED charge status lights. Connectors were properly connected.Hooked battery up to solar panels which showed battery was not fully charged. Panels charged battery to 14.4V.Returned charger.Well packaged and received undamaged. Display reads exactly how much charge is going into the batteryand total charge. Works great to charge my 300 amp hour ampere time battery.
